Government Efficiency is not a new or novel concept. Literally no one with a functioning brain thinks that the American federal government is slim, efficient, and effective. I was raised in substandard conditions with substandard controls and a negative return on investment because stupid people are allowed to make decisions about spending and earning. People like you who can't spell economics much less comprehend it.
If you had ever been the dependent of a government employee or been a financial stakeholder in a corporation, then you would understand that stumbling into a room and shooting a gun into the air while tearing up people's lives and budgets is not a solution. Shit, if you were a responsible manager of your own home and life, you would realize that budgeting requires some intention, some background understanding, and some thoughtful execution.
