Public defenders are paid whether they win the case or not. There is NO incentive to try to win any case.
So they try to do as little work as possible (stay out an actual trial) to collect their pay.

Exactly. They also usually have a case load of like 30 - 40+ cases to deal with. Yours isn't particularly important to them over some other schmuck's. That's why they will usually opt for a plea deal over trial. Trials require lots of prep time, a plea deal is more like 'one and done.'

Derick Chauvin PLED GUILTY to the federal crimes. He had to stand up in court and say he did it. That is due process since he could have refused to admit guilt and gone to trial.
As to the state charges, he had due process since he was able to put on a defense in front of 12 jurors. In the Soviet trials you don't see jurors deciding guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

You don't seem to know what due process is. Due process in the US is based on English law.
Hardly a false equivalence since the are not the same thing. Due process doesn't guarantee a good defense. It simply means no one can be deprived of life, liberty or property without a court (or jury) hearing both sides of the case and making a determination.
No one is forced to take a plea deal. The advice may to to take the deal but no one is required to take it and then they still have to go to the court and stand in front of a judge who asks if they made the decision to plead guilty of their own free will and if it is true that they are guilty.
The judges were placed by Trump, Bush, and Clinton . Categorizing them as liberal cunts says lot about you, but nothing sbout the system, or that Trump masks remaks insulting and lying about any judge they does not give a result he wants. You do not know what you are. It is pathetic and ugly. You should take stock of your horrible attitude .
Sending an illegal alien home isn't depriving them of any of those things. It's just sending them back where they snuck in from.
