If Trump is talking wholesale, then he’s once, again, doesn’t understand what price consumers pay. Maybe, he should take a trip to the gas station and pump gas.

The MAGATs reek of desperation lately. Are you buying their frantic attempts to convince us that #TRE45ONv2.0 is a great businessman and leader and that in a week or two new factories will be springing up everywhere and we'll all be singing Kumbaya?

Me neither.

Nobody has posted the states where the gas is $1.98.

Could it be because they don't exist?

We have Meijer stores here.. They're like better quality Walmarts in that they have a full service grocery store but also clothing, garden supplies, hardware, gas station, etc. With my Meijer mastercard (free, btw, no membership required) WE get 10 cents a gallon off plus we can use our mPerks rewards and get up to a dollar a gallon more off. Even so, gas is still not under $2. The last time I saw it that low was during the pandemic when the price of oil per barrel dropped to negative numbers. Maybe that's what the Orange Bozo is thinking of, assuming he thinks.

The Gulf of America production has increased by 100,000 barrels a day. That drives prices down.

Nope. Oil is a global commodity. Once again, in order to keep prices high when we increase production, whether in the Gulf of Mexico or in Texas or in Alaska, OPEC and other oil producers lower theirs.

Maybe while you're frantically googling stuff to convince us that you are a real "doctor," you can google oil production.

The Interior Department is helping to increase oil production in the newly renamed Gulf of America by 100,000 barrels per day under a new policy following President Trump's executive order aimed at “Unleashing American Energy,” The Post can reveal.

That doesn't change the FACT IF the US oil producing companies can NOT make a profit they will not increase their production.
CEO of the US oil producing companies have come out and told us this many of times.
Is the Government going to pay them to increase their production and make up their Profits?

GasBuddy pushes back on Trump price claim

GasBuddy, a company that tracks fuel costs across the country, is refuting President Trump’s claims in a Friday morning social media post touting record low prices at the pump.

“Gasoline just broke $1.98 a Gallon, lowest in years, groceries (and eggs!) down, energy down, mortgage rates down, employment strong, and much more good news, as Billions of Dollars pour in from Tariffs,” the president wrote on his Truth Social platform.

However, GasBuddy said it could not locate any fuel stations with those prices.

“We don’t have any data showing any individual stations below $2 a gallon today nor have we really seen any of that in the last several weeks since these claims have started,” Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, said in a statement to NewsNation.

The lowest price in the nation as of Friday was in Mississippi at $2.63 per gallon, according to the company’s data tracker. The national average is $3.18 as of Friday, according to AAA, with no prices listed at less than $2.61.

Economists predicted Trump’s tariffs would spike gasoline rates in early March before “reciprocal” tariffs and other measures were announced by the administration, many of which have been suspended for now.

The U.S. imports more oil from Canada than any other country, meaning Trump’s relationship with new Prime Minister Mark Carney could impact future gas prices — especially in regions that rely heavily on Canadian gas, such as the Midwest, the Rocky Mountains and New England.

In January, Trump signed an executive order seeking to boost domestic energy and offshore drilling by exploring promising pockets of federal land.
