Who here has and hasn't heard of the Free State Project?

The Free State Project is a libertarian migration movement that encourages 20,000 pro‑liberty activists to move to New Hampshire in order to concentrate political influence and expand individual freedoms. It is not a political party, but a nonprofit organization focused on building a community of people who favor limited government and personal autonomy.

I looked it up, appears that only about 6,000 are participating. They are having trouble attracting people.

South Carolina had a white evangelical religious push like that fifteen or twenty years ago.

And northern Idaho is doing something like NH and has for maybe thirty years.
God bless America where people are free to do so.

The MAGAts want to make it "One Country, One Party, One Leader".

Thanks for the answers boiz. Jake's answer is correct. One or two of you mentioned sovereign citizens. Free staters tend to disagree with those guys; and I'm not aware of any free staters who are sovereigns. But a good free stater would presumably support the human rights of sovereigns, just like they would tend support the human rights of trans folks or controversial gun owners. What made you think the movement was connected to sovereign citizens?

Who wants to sell their homes, leave their friends and move to a high cost state?

Why did they pick the NE?
People who don't want to ask permission to carry firearm, or use marijuana. People who want a lower overall tax burden, who want to use Bitcoin or silver more often than war dollars. People who want their political efforts to actually count and change history slightly. They picked NH in a ranked choice election during 2003... it beat Wyoming and a bunch of other states mostly because its governor welcomed them...and its political system was the most decentralized.

We've taken action to bring down expenses but it will take time to percolate. We've just become the first state in 100 years to let neighborhoods and others set up their own power grids without permission.
