Trump begs communist China to help him secure the Strait of Hormuz

As far as the United States is concerned, Iran has always been a thorn in the flesh, not a dagger in the heart. I think Trump is not a rational actor, I don't think he was carefully calculating the net petro-profit to the United States. He decided on this war for a range of intangible and emotional reasons. He is still enraged by the 1979 hostage crisis.
Agreed about Iran and Trump's irrationality. Also agreed he didn't carefully calculate the results of his actions. He's now in a hole of his own making and wants others to help him out. Typical of a man-child.

Again, the sour crude oil prices go up with the price of Brent and WTI.
MAGAts always whine about globalism but keep proving they don't have a clue what it is or how it works.

Trump took a national policy to start a war and now wants a global solution to solving the problem he created.

Therefore, the purpose of globalism is by no means a world government. It is not even an attempt to force global political integration. It simply represents an acknowledgment of the need for global policy coordination. It seeks to provide workable solutions to global problems via global coordination and nation-state implementation.

Acceptance of the concept of “globalism” does require one single leap of faith: One must be ready to give up the assumption that a nation has it entirely in its own hands to fix all of its problems.

They need someone to blame for their personal failures, and it is not themselves.
