It would be a great idea, but could be difficult to put into action. I think we will see some of the same difficulties we saw when we integrated the armed forces.

But at least the official line will be acceptance.

I have known several gay men who insist that they have known numerous gay marines. In fact, one said that if he ever just wanted a meaningless one night stand, he would go to bars near Camp Lejeune.

But openly gay in the Marine Corp would be a different story.
