The whole push is not just towards more fuel efficient vehicles, it also includes more energy efficiency in your home. They've found ways to mass produce solar cells, appliances and lighting are more efficient. But people still use the same old technology the've been using since children out of habit. $4.00 a gallon is waking them up, and people are becoming more aware of the world around them. The Unintended consequence could be we pull out of Iraq because we don't their oil anymore.

Oh, it very well is a reason. To continue the push to become more efficient, we allow prices to stay where they are at. Drill for oil, we slip right back into, "I want the biggest SUV on the road" mentality.
