Shaken, not stirred!
It's truly fascinating to watch the MAGA/GOP folk across the board just lose their minds over the FACT that the DEMS now have a candidate that can obviously whupp the butts of the Dump/Little Dump (aka Trump/Vance) ticket. They are literally throwing any and every thing against the media wall hoping something will stick. Here's a quick recap of some of their top bull horn followed with brief clarifications:
1. Harris as the Dem candidate is illegal, as it denies the people the right to choose their candidate: Thing is, the DNC doesn't happen until the 19th of this month, so Biden (though the presumptive nominee) was NOT the official candidate and well within his rights to decline seeking re-election (precedent being Lyndon B. Johnson in 1968) and endorse anyone he chooses as a viable candidate. Harris STILL can be challenged at the DNC, just like Dump could've been in 2020 at the RNC.
2. Harris has no support in the DEM party, as she lost the nomination to Biden in 2020: Biden lost to Obama in 2008 and went on to become VP for 8 years. He did not run in 2016, but did in 2020 where he won and picked Harris as his VP.
3. Biden was taken out in a DEM party "coup": Biden's full mental and physical capacity has been in question for a LONG time. The disastrous performance in the June debate confirmed those fears. Major party politicos urged him to drop out, as it was obvious he would lose and do damage to the party as a whole if he didn't ... of which they could not support. Something similar happened to Johnson in 1968, then Nixon in 1974. This does not fit the definition of a "coup".
4. Harris "slept her way" to her career": As usual, a grain of truth mixed with a LOT of untruths: https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/kamala-harris-willie-brown-mistress/ Given that the MAGA/GOP supporters have no problem with Dump putting his son-in-law in important positions in the gov't (of which he had no qualifications for), this hand wringing about Harris seems a tad hypocritical. As to "morality", I seriously doubt that the MAGA mooks would want to do a public comparison between Harris and Cheeto Jeezus.
