What I saw during the pandemic terrified me. Our continuity plans were jokes. The pandemic was not as bad as it could have been, and normal people improvised solutions, but it could have very easily gone the other way and destroyed our economy.

I assumed we would take continuity planning seriously going forward. Boy was I wrong. It is actually being cut further.

Modern technology allows us to cut a fiber line, and still have a working network. We should have backups, and route around it. There is no way millions should lose 911 service because of a single line being cut.

I am all for cost cutting, but we are cutting the costs of keeping America functioning.
