A has been means he used to big but now not so much.

Yep, and from what I heard it sounded to me like it was well received. Maybe the has-been has found another stage in his life that's even more meaningful than his previous stages.

I don't mean to get difficult but we make such a big fuss about people who pretend to be other people for a living that when we see a pretender is actually a real person with a real intellect and ability beyond pretending to be a tree that we get a bit scared of them So we insult them to feel superior.
