Threats of violence, sadly, are a part of American politics today. The threats hover over a nation that is politically divided, increasingly angry, and fearful about what the next election might bring. It took only an instant Saturday evening in Butler, when a shooter grazed the ear of the former president, for everyone to be reminded of how dangerous this environment is.
