In honor National Library Week, The American Library Association’s Office of Intellectual Freedom just released some disturbing data around conservative’s ongoing efforts to ban books from libraries and schools around the country. According to their report, 2022 saw the highest number of appeals to ban books in the 20 years they’ve been keeping track.

About 100 years ago the United States suffered a war, a plague, money problems and it danced with fascism like most of Europe and Japan. We're doing it again. I'm hoping We, the People, have learned from our mistakes.

It's on a statewide basis, and the states that do it shouldn't be part of the same republic as the states who do not.

States like Florida, to use one dreadful example, still have elections,
and their electorate of devolved mutants legitimately elect the book burners.
It's what they want.
Let them have it, but in a nation of their own.

So a "writer of color" can write anything they want and no can oppose it? What if they write something that incites violence? Isnt that a really big thing for your type? How stupid are you exactly?
