Bush's approval rating fell 4 percentage points to 23 percent, a record low for pollster John Zogby, and positive marks for the U.S. Congress fell 5 points to tie an all-time low at 11 percent.

The number of Americans who believe the country is on the right track fell from 23 percent to an abysmal 16 percent, another record for pessimism, as uncertainty about the economy and rising gas prices fueled growing doubts about the future.

Wow. Remember when the media was relentlessly hounding Gore to distance himself from clinton?

I don't see a similar level of concern trolling in the media for McMaverick to dissociate himself from bush. Yeah, its there to a certain extent. But, not like the calls for gore to dissociate himself from the very POPULAR clinton.

The Democrat controlled congress is polling at 16% and these are the people some want to give both chambers of Congress and the White House...

Democratic controlled Congress approval: 16%

Isn't it funny though, how the last three special elections held, show us that the American people have decided the problem isn't that the Democrats control Congress, but rather that they don't control it by enough seats?

All of this god damned selective poll pushing is pissing me off.

First of all, as I said before, the Democrats in Congress poll better than the Republicans in Congress.

Additionally, regardless of their low favorability rating, the Democrats are overwhelmingly preferred to the Republicans as far as who should control the next Congress.
