Bush standing by Hastert

President Bush called House Speaker Dennis Hastert, under fire for his handling of the Mark Foley scandal, and "expressed his support," White House Deputy Press Secretary Dana Perino said. Earlier Thursday, Hastert, R-Illinois, said he had "done nothing wrong" and would not step down over the controversy.

btw I saw hastert on the morning news saying theat he was taking responsibility, the buck stops here, after his ranting about a demoncratic plot funded by Soros yesterday

Was it ever in doubt? Bush is a man of prinicipals. Hastert has done nothing wrong.

Hastert killed himself by attempting to work this instead of asking the guy to leave back when it became evident he had no control over his urge to go after young men.
