Bush wants military tribunals for Guantanamo detainees

IHateGovernment

Is this your homework?
Bush is proposing that congress change the law to allow him to try unlawful combatants within military tribunals. These courts do not offer the same kind of legal protections that a citizen would enjoy

Military lawyers have urged a solution patterned on the existing system of military courts martial. But Attorney General Alberto Gonzales has objected to rules that would give terror suspects the right to remain silent or challenge hearsay evidence.

What do you guys think?

If they don't have the right to remain silent or challenge hearsay then it is not the same as a Courts Martial...

I think it is WRONG.

What happened to President Bush telling us that the Terrorists wanted to change our way of living and that we were NOT going to let them do that?

We have our rights from the CREATOR so it says, so that means that we believe that ALL humans deserve the SAME rights as ourselves because they are right and just....IF THEY ARE RIGHT AND JUST FOR US, THEN THEY ARE MOST CERTAINLY RIGHT AND JUST FOR OUR ENEMIES.imo
