Clinton Hints At Sharing Ticket With Obama

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton hinted at the possibility of a democratic "dream ticket" with Sen. Barack Obama.

Speaking on the Early Show on CBS, Clinton said "that may be where this is headed, but we have to decide who is on the top of the ticket."

Clinton said the race between her and Obama remains "incredibly close," with just "smidgens of difference" between them.

Clinton's remarks after her campaign won two big states yesterday: Ohio and Texas. She also won Rhode Island. The wins enabled her campaign to break Obama's 12-state winning streak and pick up some momentum of its own.

Speaking later on the Early Show, Obama congratulated Clinton on her victories while maintaining he would be able to wrap up the democratic nomination.

"We still have close to an insurmountable lead in delegates," Obama said. Obama said his campaign had won nearly twice as Clinton as well as a greater share of the popular vote.

If you were Obama would you want to be VP to Hillary?

Yeah then Obama can try and wait 8 years sitting on his ass for his chance to run for pres. The VP has no power. There's only one person that ticket would help.

It would be cool, though, if we could have 16 years or so of Hillary and Obama.

Hillary has no choice. If she "wins" by lobbying enough supers, she has to choose Obama, or she stands little chance in the general.

Obama won't pick Hillary, imo.

I will probably not vote for Hillary with obama as VP. I will hold my nose and pull lever for Obama is Hillary is his VP.

Regardless I think this sort of spoils Obama.

Hey they are both politicians, not idealists like Ronbots and will do what is required to stay up there.

What is the benefit to Obama to be Hillary's VP?

He becomes the heir apperant to the Democratic nomination in 2016, if they win.

And he is in ALL of the History books for the next 500 years as the first non-white VP ever.

Dude wants to be President, not V.P. He doesn't care about being first black V.P.

No, because Bill would already be in that role. Her VP would get put in a closet somewhere and dusted off in 2012. (assuming of course that she were able to beat McCain...which is going to be a lot harder if she pisses off half the Dem base)

The problem with this scenario is that there is no gurantee that she would win even with him on the ticket .. and there is no gurantee that Americans will want another democrat after even 4 years of Hillary and the wars she might be fighting for Israel.

I'm sure Obama she's his page in history as the first black president, not yet another black sidekick.
