Columbus sailed the ocean blue ... He and his son Diego left their DNA in the blood composition of the natives they encountered. In places such as the Dominican Republic,cuba ,puerto rico. And other islands in the caribbean , the citizens of these countries still retain a percentage of their genes. But not a single one of these nations has ever produced a single individual possessing the stature and genius of a Christopher Columbus.

Is the scientific study of race important? you betcha !

Neither of the first two posts is accurate. Columbus was quite enlightened for his time, and did not participate in the cruel activities and policies which the Spanish would design for the Native peoples. Its complete bullshit that the left has started going after his holiday, because they hate what it ultimately produced - the British settlement of North America.

Obviously the OP is crap, as per always where Wolfie is concerned, and needs no explanation.

Bullshit. Liberals are smart enough to know tha America had already been "discovered centuries before Columbus was born.

Only retarded liberals parrot this line. Europe ignored the Viking settlement here. It took the Columbus expedition to bring the powers out here, and ultimately give us Jamestown in 1607. If you were referring to the original settlement of the Western Hemisphere, some 20,000 years ago, the event had the same impact as the Viking event. There is also evidence to suggest that a great Chinese explorer, Cheng Ho, who sailed nearly 100 years before Columbus, touched down on the West Coast of this Hemisphere at one point. A regime change in China returned the nation to isolation, and all evidence of his voyages was covered up and destroyed, for unknown reasons. Also very cool, but also irrelevant.
