Democrat histrionics do nothing but divide

New York Democratic Rep. Ritchie Torres took to national news and told CNN host Wolf Blitzer that President Donald Trump has set such a “dangerous precedent” with his border control and deportation policies that he’s a short hop away from “abducting” “in the dead of night” any American citizens he wants, “wrongfully labeling” them illegals and gang members, then “rendering them to a foreign prison to be tortured.”

Come on now. Torres himself doesn’t even believe that. The Democrat Party’s penchant for hysterics and histrionics to make political points has to stop.

It not only makes Democrats appear stupid — stupider than stupid.

It also tears apart the nation. And isn’t America already torn apart enough as it is?

Torres, on a bill he’s introducing to require the United States to force other nations to return individuals who were mistakenly deported, said this, Breitbart reported: “I’m skeptical that we will have Republican support because the Republican Party is fully captive to Donald Trump. But of all the abuses of Donald Trump’s presidency, there is no greater threat to liberty than his complete contempt for due process. You know, without due process, what stops Donald Trump from wrongfully labeling any American as a non-citizen gang member and abducting them in the dead of night and rendering them to a foreign prison to be tortured?”

Umm.

How about — sanity?

Trump is deporting dangerous illegals who’ve been allowed into America by Democrats; sent to parts north, east and west of the border by Democrats — using tax dollars for transportation costs; housed by Democrats in hotels and schools and other tax-funded facilities; and schooled, medically attended to, clothed and fed by Democrats — again, at tax payer expense. Sensing the trend?

Democrats let in the criminals.

Tax payers pay for the criminals.

Trump, with his Republican colleagues, deport the criminals.

And Democrats cry about the poor treatment by Republicans and Trump of these criminal illegals.

“Democratic states weigh more support for immigrants as Trump administration cracks down,” The Associated Press wrote in January.

“Democratic lawmakers devising legal obstacles to fight anti-immigration push,” The Guardian wrote in January.

Democrats are always on the wrong side of right.

In 2017, during Trump’s first administration, the word from the Democrat camp was this: “Cortez Masto Leads Group of 20 Senate Democrats to Introduce Legislation Rescinding Trump’s Massive Deportation Executive Order,” Cortez Masto’s website
read.

Sen. Dick Durbin then pledged to “make clear that we will not be intimidated by the president’s bullying.” Sen. Maize Hirono railed against the “families” “being torn apart” and “lives” “being destroyed” — blaming the 2017 White House for the family destruction, and not the illegals who shouldn’t have come to the country in the first place.

Some things never change.

Donald Trump wants the threat of a death sentence in El Salvador to loom over everyone and anyone who stands up to him,” said New York Rep. Yvette Clarke of the current Trump administration’s deportation partnership with El Salvador.

More hysteria. More histrionics. More division of the nation, one media appearance at a time.

With Democrats, it’s always law-breaker first, law and order second.
