Nobody in their right mind can possibly agree with Democrats pushing for a litmus test. On the other hand, I was always troubled by this:
Born into a wealthy family, Charles Carroll became a member of the Continental Congress as the American Revolution loomed. Carroll missed the vote on independence but signed the final draft of the Declaration on Independence, becoming the only Catholic to do so. He was a member of the Maryland state Senate and the U.S. Senate (concurrently), finally retiring to private life in 1800. Before his death in 1832, he was the last surviving signer of the Declaration of Independence.

I doubt very much if a Muslim would sign the Declaration of Independence today since Islam is a theocracy opposed to individual liberties. In fact, I know of no priesthood that advocates individual liberty over obedience to their church's worldview:

Socialism is the worst offender evidenced by the efforts Democrat priests devote to abolishing the U.S. Constitution.
Finally, Democrats often speak highly of the Constitution —— at the same they are lighting the fuses on the dynamite charges they set.
