DeSantis' campaign is falling apart so quickly that a new poll has him behind Chris Christie in New Hampshire

For months, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' presidential campaign sat in second in GOP primary polls behind former President Donald Trump.

Now, DeSantis has a new GOP candidate to worry about: New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

A new Emerson College poll shows Christie in second place, ahead of DeSantis

According to a recent Emerson College poll, more likely New Hampshire Republican primary voters said they prefer former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie over Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

The results of the poll, which was conducted between August 9 and 11, show that 9% of likely GOP primary voters in New Hampshire want Christie to be the Republican nominee, compared to the 8% who said they'd rather have DeSantis represent the party.

The poll's finding that DeSantis is slipping and Chris Christie is rising is far from alone in New Hampshire, with recent polls from co/efficient, National Research, and the Manhattan Institute putting the former governor of New Jersey tied or within the margin of error of DeSantis.

Former President Donald Trump was far and away the most desired GOP candidate to the polled likely New Hampshire Republican primary voters, as 49% of them said they plan to support him.

When comparing the August poll to the findings of an Emerson Poll from March, it appears that DeSantis and his campaign are moving in the entirely wrong direction if he wants to have a chance at catching up to Trump and Christie moving forward.

The real race begins once Trump is DQed. Trump's crimes are many and serious. He broke the deal and should face the wheel. Then who wins? There are 10 people out there running for a reason That reason is Trump cannot escape paying for his crimes. Trump going to jail is real enough that they all are disrupting their lives to run for the nomination. They see Trump getting out as likely.
 
Christy is simply better at campaigning then Desantis is.

Desantis doesn't have the experience to go prime time.

Doesn't really matter though, pretty much everyone is behind Trump.

His reversal on Disney, and asking them to drop their lawsuit shows how badly things are going for Ron and he’s realizing his mistakes.
 
DeSantis listened to people like the right Derps who infect this forum and believed a strategy that is anti free speech, anti free association, anti education, anti corporations and all about a massive expansion of government into our personal lives, would be a winning national ticket.


He got himself in to a right derp echo box and could not see what was true within the box, that hate and xenophobia and destroying personal rights is what fuels them, is the opposite of what people wanted outside that echo box.

And that seems to be because DeSantis is a true believer. He is one of them and in the 30% of those driven by hate of 'others.

This nomination was his to win before he got in to the contest by just pushing his success in Florida (GOP is desperate for success) and running on a more centrist old school GOP platform.


But hate filled derps gonna derp. They just can't help themselves.

Not to mention the lost of revenue from canceled conventions, business investments, and tourism dollars?!! One thing for sure, this country will never be like Florida and Ron will never be president either?!!

Ya but Trump is a phony in most of those areas. A liberal in many areas who will just tell people what they want to hear.

DeSantis is a true believer and would be part of the Trump base if not in politics.

DeSantis truly believes the woke stuff, and would teach a version of history about how slavery was good for black people, which is the way supremacists make an argument that blacks cannot self govern and needed the whites so if it involved slavery...oh well, they still got benefits from it.

Many on the white supremacy side believe that and i think DeSantis is one of them.
