Actually, I am questioning his position. I would assume that he opposes the idea of secession. The left on here bashed Palin for some supposed connection to the AIP, because some them support secession. They even went so far as to claim they were a terrorist organization for expressing such ideas.
At the same time, I am pointing out the duplicity of you and Brent.
Uhm... Let me speak for what I believe, regarding 'secession' and you can judge me accordingly, fair enough?
From the very concept of "The United States of America," the founding premise on which our entire nation is based, we have these words:
When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
Now, in my interpretation of that, it means, if you have a 'fucking good reason' to separate from 'the government', you must declare it, and then do it. This right is not granted by a bounding document or tie to mankind, it is granted by
God and Nature's God. It can't be nullified by man, it can't be taken by man, it is granted by something
greater than mankind.
So my argument is, we are Constitutionally bound to break our ties with the US, if the "cause and reason" is fundamentally sound. It is seen by many Constitutional authorities, as a means to protect the US from tyranny or dictatorship. Further supporting this forward thinking brilliance, is the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution, which grants us the right to bear arms.
Now.... That is what I believe regarding secession, but it has absolutely nothing to do with the Georgians and Russians. I see there is a similar 'secession' instance, but you are comparing chicken salad to chicken shit.
Read the history, concentrate on the content. I know you guys can do it! Every major industrialized nation in the world, denounced Russia for their aggression, and called for it to end, immediately! Georgia is an ally, and hopefully a future member of NATO, and Russia is being run by the KGB. Why in the world would you even think we should 'side' with Russia on this, is beyond me.
