Do Republicans Still Go to School?

Ronald Regan "In America, our origins are less important than our destination, and that is what democracy is all about."

Franklin Roosevelt, the United states is "the arsenal of democracy".

Abraham Lincoln: "We the people are the rightful owners of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution.

Thomas Jefferson: "The end of democracy and defeat of the American Revolution will occur when government falls into the hands of lending institutions and moneyed incorporations."

George W. Bush. "You can't put democracy and freedom back into a box."

Republican Speaker of The House Mike Johnson: "We don't live in a democracy".

Would suggest the answer is, yes, Republicans do still go to school and most are familiar with the country's heritage of democracy. Unfortunately, democracy hasn't worked for them in recent years as often it's disappointed but the bigger problem is democracy is a wall against authoritarianism and for the first time in their history they have a full fledged authoritarian as their national leader. Rationalizing and working around that betrayal is something they work at every day.

When WMD didn't turn up in Iraq, conservatives pivoted to justifying the war by saying we were bringing democracy to Iraq.

Why would conservatives use our military to bring something to an Arab nation they claim we don't even have?

A democracy would include all people voting on all govt matters. That's not what happens. This democracy discussion always reminds me of the "social" justice discussion. There is only justice or no justice. "Social" justice is not justice it's special treatment for whatever intersectional group group is offended today.

Leftists don't give a fuck about democracy. All this is is leftists trying to claim that conservatives are opposed to "democracy". All it's meant to do is try and make conservatives appear to be Anti American but as we know whatever leftists.l accuse others of they are twice as guilt of that same thing.

Evidently it doesn't phase you that the presidents quoted above said democracy is exactly "what happens" in this country. If you went to school and remembered and still believed what you were taught you would know that, and know the U.S. is a representative democracy, the oldest in the world and first since The Roman Republic. Instead, you insult your country.
