I dont care about how Topspin or Chapdog keep on shouting about how GDP is growing at 3% or how unemployment is at 6%...

Do you fundamentally believe that the U.S. economy is strong today?

I certainly dont, I believe it is in a recession. Its been doing shitty for a while now, and it aint coming back until at least 2009.

Segments of th economy are strong. For example, the utility construction industry is doing better than it has done in a decade. More companys and municipalities are building or upgrading than we have seen in years.

But over all, I think the economy is in trouble. I don't think its a fatal situation. Its just a low point.
 
It's great for fascists who fuck up whole sectors, get 30 million dollars bonus, and then still get a government bailout!

GDP is a dishonest metric.

and Core Inflation is a fraud..... Although we always have Damocles on here telling us that core inflation is the best measure of CPI....

GDP only measures consumption. WHen people are putting those purchase on their credit card, it makes things seem better than they actually are.
