Former President Donald Trump’s ALL-CAPS RANT on Wednesday was as overdone as Fourth of July hot dogs left on the grill.

The 2024 Republican candidate for president pressed the Caps Lock key by the dawn’s early light and spewed false claims and fiery rhetoric.

“MASSIVE PROSECUTORIAL MISCONDUCT IS CURRENTLY TAKING PLACE IN AMERICA. Trump is a crook who thinks his money and power keep him from prosecution. He is wrong. Trump needs to be taken to court and answer for what he has done. Ford made a bad mistake letting Nixon off. It allowed presidents to show no respect for the law. Nixon said "If the president does it, it is legal". Trump believes that. Hopefully, he is wrong and the presidents of the future will learn a lesson about criming in the Whitehouse.

There is a sinister side to throwing presidents in jail.

It may turn out that presidents become so worried about being prosecuted that they refuse to make bold decisions when bold decisions are required.

If this precedent is set then the first thing future presidents will consider is the risks to themselves.

This could lead to future presidents refusing to take action on any number of issues to prevent being charged with some crime.

I imagine if Trump is convicted that Biden will pardon him under the guise of moving the nation past the issue, just as Trump would pardon Biden.

Trump isn't being prosecuted for anything he did as President. He is being prosecuted for willfully retaining documents he was told to return when he wasn't President. If he had returned them when asked there would be no prosecution because no prosecutable crime would have been committed.

That makes no sense. You believe in a dictatorship. You want presidents, not all, just rightys, to have ultimate power and answer to no one. The concept of checks and balances totally eludes you.
