Just declare American victory and leave...

That way the US wont get any blame because it "won" the war...and is now leaving it fully in the control of the "liberated" Iraqis....

The reasons that the US got into IRAQ.....and progress report:

WMD's - none found, disarmed Iraq from WMDs, mission accomplished.

Oust Saddam - he is dead now, mission accomplished.

A free and democratic Iraq -- They have a new constitution, elected government, mission accomplished.


Really when you lay it all on the line the US has won the War in Iraq...so instead of costing billions of dollars and thousands of lives playing referee between 2 sects of Iraqis, the Americans should just declare victory and leave.

The objectives that the USA used to get into the war has all been accomplished...So the USA has won...No point in staying any longer... The US won WWII but that doesnt mean it continued to occupy Germany....

Unfortunately things have been so badly mishandled it will take some exceptional effort to finish and come home. Not effort confined to military operations, either, though the military will need to stay involved.
