EPA takes emergency action to stop use of dangerous pesticide

For the first time in 40 years, the Environmental Protection Agency has taken emergency action to stop the use of a dangerous pesticide linked to serious health risks for unborn babies.

Tuesday’s emergency order applies to dimethyl tetrachloroterephthalate, also known as DCPA or Dacthal, an herbicide used on crops such as broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage and onions. When pregnant farmworkers and others are exposed to the pesticide, their babies can experience changes to fetal thyroid hormone levels, which are linked to low birth weight, impaired brain development, decreased IQ and impaired motor skills later in life.

Maybe we shouldn't have pregnant women out in farm fields doing hard manual labor...

What we have here, sisters and brothers, is an incorrigible dumbass who believes that toxic pesticides and herbicides only end up in our bodies if we are field workers. Feed him some Dacthal burgers.

Poison is good, eh?
What are the odds of those things happening? The article you linked doesn't say, nor does the embedded EPA letter:

I am skeptical of anything the EPA does today in this sort of respect. There could be a million-to-one chance of the outcome listed and that outcome could easily be random and not due to the pesticide, but the EPA wouldn't give a fuck. If they can ban something, they will. They don't care about the economic costs either.

So, the benefit of this pesticide might well far, far outweigh the potential risk from using it. You and I don't know, and nothing you've posted indicates what the actual risks are.

You think Jan. 6 was a peaceful protest. Your ability to analyze information is ZERO.

What the above indicates is that moon is an idiot that slavishly listens to anything some bureaucrat or "authority" says without a scintilla or skepticism. Moon is a lemming that will willingly go over a cliff because somebody in charge told them to do it.

Nice, reduced you to ad hominem as usual. You have no counter argument, and your original position is untenable. I win, your thread is stupid.
