Epic Fail: the GOP's attempt to woo minorities

Republican efforts to be "inclusive" are textbook examples of failure.

Hispanic voters, soon to be a majority bloc, are rejecting the compassionless conservative stance regarding immigration and jingoistic "English-only" issues that strike at the heart of the Latino community.

Black voters realized long ago that the GOP is full of repressive, violent racists.

Women and gays have likewise suffered at the patriarchal and homophobic hands of America's amazing shrinking party.

With community organizing and agressive voter registration campaigns now entrenched within the government itself, I see a rosy future for progressivism.

I think, perhaps, it was prompted by your dear friend Southernman's History of the GOP thread where he attempts to suggest that blacks and gays are important and sizeable blocs within the GOP.

Republicans have held the Presidency of the US for all 12 of the last 40 years.....

Republicans don't cater to any particular group, white, black, rich, poor, believer or atheist ...we cater to patriots, those that hold personal responsibility sacred, those that hold freedom sacred, etc.

If you ask what your country can do for you rather than what you can do for your country,..........become one of todays Democrats ........

It does bear repeating that you can blather all you want, but you haven't pulled more than 15% of the minority vote in decades.

all anyone really has to do is look at the trend lines for demographics. Look at what percentage of American voters will be something other than caucasian ten years from now. Then look at what percentage of those non-white demographic groups the republican party atracts. Do the math. If republicans don't figure out how to win over some demographic group other than white redneck bluecollar voters, they are destined to become the whig party of the 21st century. Now you republican board members can scoff at that all you want, but seriously.... you get significant minorities of every major ethnic demographic other than white guys... and you lost the last election... and there won't be any greater percentage of white guys in 2012 than there was in 2008... Where do you see yourselves gaining the sort of inroads you need to capture in order to win in 2012? Do you really think that simply by hoping that you can anger the white men to such a degree that they turn out to vote in unprecedented percentages you will prevail?

Thats the real difference between us....The Democrats crave power, getting elected, ...at any and all costs...you would sell your filthy souls to get votes....pimp your own mothers for votes.....buy and bribe voters to get the power....

and in simple language, the Conservatives put our values and honor first....and still manage to win at times.....

If the country ceases to exist as it was for over 200 years , so be it....

Those that must live in those times will either regret it or their values will change and the great nation we once were will survive and continue...
either way, we will remain proud of what we accomplished in our time...
