Why is it that our economies are so strokish that it's considered bad when people stop buying things they don't need?
 
I just heard the cnbc strokers complaining that the chinese have decrease purchasing cars.

Isn't getting off oil good?

Just a few years ago wasn't everyone riding bikes?

So now it's good for chinese to buy cars, but americans must go green?

What is up with all this nonsensical asswipery?

I figured it would be meaningless to you.

It is as much about reducing our dependency on imported oil as it is being green.
I suppose you like being held hostage by the middle east ?
Spending a trillion or so on a war to secure oil supplies ?

Im against both of those.

Can I also safely assume you're for drilling anywhere in the u.s. to facilitate this goal?

Not anywhere but in most places in a safe manner.

Or we can just do like China and put capitalism above the environment and pollute our asses to toxic levels.

I only care because of my grandchildren.
