Really? Funny, I haven't seen any calls for the magazine to lose its ability to publish.
I have seen calls for boycotts. I have seen condemnations of the cartoon. But then, those condemnations are expressions of free speech as well.

What is the purpose of a boycott? It's to force - through the imposition of economic deprivation - a desired change in behavior favored by the boycotters.

Indeed it is. But what a boycott is NOT is an interference with 1st ammendment rights. A boycott is the refusal to support a business that a person find offensive or that goes against a person's beliefs.
Try and spin it any way you want, but calling for a boycott is NOT an abridgement of 1st amendment right.
