So you cant find gas in Atlanta, but the price is still lower than here in West Palm Beach.
What happened to the supply and demand having a direct effect on cost?

LOL you can't be serious? The supply was interupted due to hurricanes and that sparked a panic by consumers who worried about low supply. This in turn created even greater shortages in the immediate area. Other areas did not fall victim to either the shortages nor the panic by consumers.
Pick up an economics book. This stuff might even be discussed on the back cover
I think I misread your point Jared. I'm sorry. I agree with you that the prices in the affected area would be expected to be high. I thought you were asking why prices elsewhere had not gone up.
No it's not, I already showed you they are higher there. No problem, but my point stands... Gas prices are already so inflated that even when supply is really short the price does not go up. They have Gas at the price they want it, regardless of supply.
Government interference.
Governor Purdue activated the "anti-gouging" law.
True. And if he didn't, then today's headline from Jarod would have been:
"Oil corporations gouging us again!"
I can see some playing that, but I don't think too many people are paying attention to what congress is doing one way or the other. The only person who will get blame for this is Bush and of course he deserves blame, but he will get all of it.True.
The same damn if you do damned if you don't is happening to the Reps in Congress with regard to this bailout. The dems have the majority and can do as they please, they don't need the R's. So if the R's vote for it - they voted to bailout their Wall Street buddies. If they vote against or abstain, they were against bailing out the brown people.
