Gators Ahoy!

Many upscale neighborhoods in the Sarasota area have problems with alligators living in the retention ponds.

Quite a few house we saw had a pond with 50 to 75 feet of a nice home, and there was a gator living in the pond.

Welcome to life in the sunshine state.
 
Sometimes I watch Animal Precinct or whatever the title is for Miami; they say that people have to be very, very careful with their pets and small children in those areas. Brrrrr!

Yeah, its always an issue. Mainly its a problem with people who have small dogs.
