A Republican supermajority has muscled two of the most restrictive anti-abortion bills in years through the Virginia House, including one that would all but outlaw the procedure in the state by declaring that the rights of persons apply from the moment sperm and egg unite.

Most abortions come as matters of lifestyle convenience.

Sen. Bill Stanley, R-Franklin County, won passage Tuesday of a measure that would permit wrongful death civil lawsuits against those who kill a fetus.

Del. Bob Marshall's House Bill 1 on personhood at conception passed on a 66-32 vote.

Marshall's bill for years had passed the conservative House only to bog down and die in a moderate Senate. This time, it stands to survive a Senate under new conservative control after last fall's election stripped the Democrats of power.

This is as much overboard in the anti-abortion direction, as the beliefs of the pro-abortionists.
 
This might be a problem if it was in alaska, but for virginia, take an hour drive and do it in another state. STICK IT TO THE MAN.


Not something you hear me say everyday but this warrants it.
 
When Conservatives win again and take the government back in all 50 states, the slaughter of the innocents will stop.

And gays will go back in the closet, adultery and sodomy will once again be illegal, and the world will revert to Ozzie & Harriet.
