Governor Tim Walz: NO RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH if the government decides it is misinformation or hateful

Supreme court agrees.
U.S. Supreme Court has repeatedly ruled that hate speech is protected by the First Amendment and is legally protected speech. The First Amendment states that Congress cannot make any law that abridges freedom of speech. The Supreme Court's position is that the government should not shield people from ideas they find offensive, but instead should protect freedom of speech to allow for unpopular opinions and debate. This includes debate that may be hateful or offensive and cause others to feel fear, anger, or grief.

Supreme Court unanimously reaffirms: There is no ‘hate speech’ exception to the First Amendment

[The idea that the government may restrict] speech expressing ideas that offend … strikes at the heart of the First Amendment. Speech that demeans on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, age, disability, or any other similar ground is hateful; but the proudest boast of our free speech jurisprudence is that we protect the freedom to express “the thought that we hate.”

Libel and slander are and always have been unprotected hate speech. Slander often accompanies the incitement to violence kind of speech, Concart mentioned. Why is this a mystery to you jackoffs?
