Hamas can’t be negotiated with, co-founder’s son says

When you (Hamas) state your goal is the destruction of Israel, it's hard to see that as a plausible bargaining position.

Too funny. Cypress thinks that Hamas somehow has a "bargaining position" that is something other than begging for mercy that falls on deaf ears. The IDF has the implausible bargaining position, i.e. simply kill all the Arabs. There is no reasoning with Israel. There is no rational discussion to be had with Israelis or with anyone on Team Israel. There's a genocide that must occur and we need to blame the Arabs for being Arab and deserving their own extinction at the hands of the permanent, eternal victims who perpetrate the genocide.

Why not? Israel is saying they will not stop until Hamas is eradicated. Seems they are starting with similar positions.

Even the liberal European Union designates Hamas as terrorist group. After October 7, Israel was justified in trying to dismantle Hamas, although legitimate questions and concerns can be raised about the costs to civilian bystanders.

^^^ Seems to be brand new to politics and completely unaware of the long standing and suceesfull peace treaties between Egypt and Israel and Jordan and Israel.

^^^ Cypress seems to be totally oblivious to the world going on outside the rock under which he seeks refuge. Cypress seems to be completely unaware that Israel is slaughtering lawful noncombatant civilian Arabs and aid workers, and that no amount of reasoning or rational discussion can be accomplished with bloodthirsty racists who are hell-bent on perpetrating a 2nd Nakba through genoncide ... most likely because Cypress doesn't understand a single word of what I just wrote.

The name you use matters more than the stated aims? Hamas is a terrorist group because they want to eradicate Israel. Israel would be a terrorist group for its stated goal of eliminating Hamas.
When it comes to double elimination it is a good starting point for discussions. Almost nobody wants to be killed.
Israel hs gone way past their assumed mandate. They are slaughtering thousands of innocent and uninvolved people.

Eliminating a terrorist group does not make one terrorists.

I don't think it's either accurate or fair to draw a strict moral equivalency between Hamas and the democratic state of Israel.

I am sure Israel would prefer Hamas come out of hiding in an urban area, and fight IDF toe to toe on the plains of Sinai.

Leaving Hamas aside, Israel faces legitimate questions about collateral damage to innocent civilian bystanders, as any democratic state should.
