ARLINGTON, Virginia (Reuters) - Republican Sen. George Allen (news, bio, voting record), whose tight race will determine control of the Senate, has scheduled a 3 p.m. announcement, his office said on Thursday.
Allen, who trails Democrat James Webb by some 8,000 votes after Tuesday's voting, was expected to concede the race. Democrats on Capitol Hill scheduled a rally.
