She promised. That certainly settles it!

But, as an official act as President, can she cut them off and hang them from the bedpost in the Lincoln Bedroom?

Hillary hits Obama on transparency, style

In interview with Politico and ABC 7 News, Clinton defends her record and hits Obama on transparency.

Senator Hillary Rodham (D-N.Y.) mocked Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) tonight for his high-flown rhetoric, suggesting she would fight important fights when he would back down.

Clinton, speaking on WJLA Channel 7 in Washington and Politico.com, also promised there would be no new scandals involving her husband, former President Bill Clinton.

The senator was asked a question from a Politico.com reader in Santa Monica, Calif., who was seeking assurance that "no new business or personal scandal involving Bill Clinton" could erupt if she were in the White House and give fodder to Republicans.

"You know, I can assure this reader that that is not going to happen," she said. "You know, none of us can predict the future, no matter who we are and what we are running for, but I am very confident that that will not happen."

Can we just move on? Can't we? Just?

In a way, you can't blame the Clintons for wanting people to "Move on" past their past reprehensible behavior in and around the White House.

There's an entire campaign organization named after exactly that: Democrats' wish that people wouldn't examine their behavior too closely, but would just "MoveOn" as told by the Clintons.

When you can't defend or justify your past behavior, the only thing you dare do is "MoveOn".

Must suck being a Democrat sometimes.

Hillary could get even with Bill by blowing some young male intern and having word of the incident go public. Perhaps that's her primary reason for running?
