Holiday Gift Swap at Work

We just had our company gift swap! It was hilarious. Me and two other
people were in cahoots and got sonic scrubbers for the gift exchange. Now
every year that we do this people always make fun of the gifts (unless its
booze or a gift card) so we knew they'd have something to say about this.
The first one was in a Covoisier box I think with a bottle of water. The
guy opens it up and thought he got a really bottle of something and then
when actually opened the inside of the box, he saw the water and the sonic
scrubber. The second person (my old boss) opened up a gift bag, he got
that and everyone fell out laughing. Later on this one director actually
goes, "I'm scared to open a gift now" Pure hilarity.

What is a sonic scrubber?

We are doing our secret santa tomorrow.
 
Its an infomercial scrubbing device for your bathroom and a myriad of other surfaces.
 
I got my sister the "Puff the Magical Dragon" children's book for Christmas, but she walked in and saw it lying on my desk, yet to be wrapped, took one look at it, picked it up and was like "OH MY GOD THIS IS AWESOME!"

So I immediately snatched it away from her and said "DAMMIT!"

It was a pretty good idea though.
 
My department does a weird gift exchange thing at the holiday lunch. There is a random drawing of numbers to see who goes first. The first person selects a random gift from the stack and opens it. #2 draws, opens, and can either accept it or swap to the first person. #3 (same), and can steal from any predecessor. Last year, I "spiked" the gift pile with a set of nice champagne glasses (crystal) from Tiffany's just to watch the sparks fly.


BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA! :shock:

that's how we do ours but we have a three gift swap minimum on any one particular item. Its pretty funny especially when people start scheming
 
This year in my office the gag gifts are coming from the local adult shop. This idea was thought up by the females in the office who thought it would just be a hoot. God I hope I get that ball gag.:))
