How close to DEAD is America?

We saw the debilitating devolution begin with the worship of a B-list actor nearly a half-century ago.

Today, roughly one hundred million devolved trumpanzees
worship a convicted felon / pigfucking orangutan.

I DEFY any optimist
to explain to me
how a republic can possibly survive that.

It can't be done. It won't be done.
I personally prefer partition to total dystopia,
the only other possible alternative.

Really? From what I can see,
America as it was envisioned to be
is gone already,
and the blame falls entirely on 77 million+ despicable trumpanzees lile yourself.
Yeah leftists have raped the legal system, the economy and have flooded the country with illegals. You twats hate America

Hey Nifty. I respect you as a person, but I think that your open contempt for those who support Trump isn't helping your thread any. As I've said in the past, I would never have voted for Trump, but I can understand Trump's appeal. Dave Chappelle has some good lines on that in a clip that came out after Trump's first term:

That doesn't mean that Trump is a good President, it just means he is sometimes honest about the criminality that goes on inside Washington on both sides of the political divide.

As to what will happen to the U.S. in the coming years, I really don't know. I hope for the best, but I also prepare as much as possible for something much worse than that.

He convinced low information voters that he would do great things. He flopped the first time and he’s made an even bigger mess this time.

Chappell called him a liar, and that is exactly what he is. He is also a 34 times convicted felon who has no room to talk about criminality. He is the biggest crook we’ve ever had in elected office in my lifetime.

I agree that he flopped the first time, but he left many on the right -believing- that he did a good job considering what he was up against. I don't buy that narrative- I think he did the best he could for himself and his family while at the same time -persuading- many on the right that he was working hard for them too. I just think it's important to acknowledge that many people believe this and to not be dismissive of their beliefs, but instead try to understand them and try our best to point out where their beliefs don't match up with reality.

Chappell called him a liar, and that is exactly what he is.

Agreed, but remember that in the clip I showed you, he called Trump an -honest- liar. I suppose it's debateable as to what Chappelle meant, but I think he meant that Trump has a penchant for at times being honest about the machinations going on in the elite circles.

He is also a 34 times convicted felon who has no room to talk about criminality.

I think you'll find that criminals are sometimes the -best- to talk about criminality. They know it so well, you see. As far as I'm concerned, the U.S. government has been mired in criminality for quite some time now. The last U.S. President I respected was Obama. He certainly had his flaws, such as appointing Hillary as Secretary of State and trusting her judgement that the war with Libya was a good thing, but he at least seemed to be trying to "Make America Great Again", to use a slogan that Trump made into his own. Following Trump's first term, I had hopes that Biden would at least be significantly better than Trump, but after a year or 2, that hope faded, at least when it came to his response to Russia's military operation in Ukraine and Israel's wars in the middle east.

He is the biggest crook we’ve ever had in elected office in my lifetime.

I really wouldn't know on that count. As to the 34 felony convictions, they're apparently all related to his falsifying records in his hush money case with Stormy Daniels. He seems guilty to me, but I think it's clear that Presidents before Trump have done worse than falsifying records. Think of the wars that the U.S. has been involved in and continues to be involved in. Surely the deaths of millions is a tad more important than Trump falsifying some records.

I have family members who are Trump voters. I know exactly why they voted for Trump, they bought the narrative that our economy was in the skids because that’s what Fox News was feeding them on a daily basis. They are low information voters who don’t read any other news sources.

Low information voters are responsible for Trump.

You still consider them family members.
That's the difference between us, I guess.
I've cast trumpanzees completely out of my life--permanently.

It's said that to err is human.
To forgive, however, is not my policy.
Not for something like this.

It is strained, at this point.
