They were not arguing semantics. They hate democracy.
They used to pretend they liked Democracy, not even hiding it anymore.
These are people who could not pass a grade school civics test.
Include the Supreme Court.

The federal judiciary does not have democratically elected officials. A representative democracy is a system of government where the representatives are elected by the people.
