Because not everybody is yet wholly convinced that she has managed to distance herself from the geriatric dotard, Genocide Joe.

Trump Mk II has to carry the specter of Trump Mk I . Harris has to carry Biden.
 
Harris must be considered the salvation of the party because that's what the party leaders say she has to be. Given that position and the fact that it's their most hated immortal enemy trump that is running against them, the voting base must all believe it, whether it's true or not, and they also must force feed anyone that they come in to contact with that same information.
 
The country is just completely split. There aren't that many voters to sway.

The cult is the cult - nothing will sway them. And there are also many who have simply had it w/ the media and the government and all of it - and voting Trump is more of an eff you to that.

1) She is not the salvation of the Democratic party.
2) She is simply the only choice to rid ourselves of Trump.
3) We need a third viable party.
4) Id prefer a European style rule of coalition.

trump is a jerk. He's also an arrogant, self centered narcissist. your hatred certainly demands that he be labeled a threat to our democracy, but there is, quite literally, nothing he could do to be a threat to our republic.

Because it was a close race from the jump, there were very few voters undecided, so even if they all now swung one way because of the numbers it wouldn’t shake the polls that much
 
She would never survive a real Democratic Primary. This is a coup to force the DNC more left than the country would ever vote for

and those who did so are representative of the majority of Americans who follow the candidates of the two major parties.......................
which is cowardly and stupid. so, no, there is no threat to our republic from trump or harris.
