Of interest, WA state gained 1, CA stayed the same, FL gained 2, NY and Ohio both dropped 2.

Yea Ohio is in a tough spot. Were still one of the top manufactuting regions of the world but with modern automation dramatically reducing the need for labor in manufacturing were severly lagging in areas of business that produce jobs. Given that and a hostile political environment for young people where higher education is concerned and a lot of our most talented young people are leaving the state. It's not a good situation, unless you're a farmer.

I'm amazed CA didn't drop at all. They've got people fleeing, and businesses fleeing to nearby Nevada, but apparently the illegal immigration is helping Cal to maintain its raw numbers. Hell, NY dropped 2, and I wouldn't have expected it to lose at all.
