Judge throws out case against actor Alec Baldwin in 'Rust' shooting trial after prosecutors accused of hiding evidence

Why did baldwin point the gun at halyna? She was a director and was not in the movie. Some say maybe halyna wanted to see how it looked with the gun pointing at the camera, but then why did baldwin thumb back the hammer and pull the trigger.?

This may have been murder, but another corrupt judge lets the liberal go.

He got off lucky. He deserves to serve the same amount of time as Hannah, sentenced to 18 months.

Now it appears the lawyers of Hannah are seeking to have her case tossed too.

Can anyone explain why he pointed the gun at halyna and thumbed back the hammer and pulled the trigger.? She was a director not an actress in the movie.
It has been explained to you dozens of times. Hutchins was not a director. She was a cinematographer. As a cinematographer, she instructed Baldwin to point the gun(which both did not believe was a gun) at the camera, and then she lined up her head with the camera to see what it would see. The idea was to get a shot of Baldwin pointing a gun at the viewer. It is a common shot in westerns.

We know for a fact that he did not think it was a real gun. So why not pull the trigger on a fake gun? It makes the shot look better, and does no harm.

Baldwin claims he did not pull the trigger. The FBI labs think the gun could not go off without having the trigger pulled, but the gun was in such bad shape that they damaged it by just testing it. They admit that they could be wrong.

I tend to believe Baldwin did pull the trigger, and later denied it because pulling the trigger on a gun that kills someone looks very bad.

But what the prosecutor needed to prove was that Baldwin pulled the trigger on what he knew to be a loaded gun. Instead, they proved that he probably pulled the trigger on what he was clearly, and repeatedly told was a fake gun.
