(05-01) 18:48 PDT -- Two parched years - punctuated by the driest spring in at least 150 years - could force districts across California to ration water this summer as policymakers and scientists grow increasingly concerned that the state is on the verge of a long-term drought.

State water officials reported Thursday that the Sierra Nevada snowpack, the source of a huge portion of California's water supply, was only 67 percent of normal, due in part to historically low rainfall in March and April.

And in news from where I am - the federal and a couple of state governments just this week released water from parts of the River Murray (most important river system in Australia) to deal with - wait for it - sulphuric acid in some of the parts of the river downstream (ie in my state). Sulphuric acid.

Memo to those who have a hard time believing that we haven't fucked up our planet. You're wrong.

yeah we have prescription meds showing up in our drinking water over here.

We'd kill for medicated drinking water.

Um - is it separated out or is it catch as catch can? I mean do I get a choice between Viagra water and Paxyl water - want to avoid contras.

Just random luck. On day your weenie gets hard, the next you grow hair on your tounge....
I figure in a few more years that tap water will require a prescription.

If I obtained a patent for dihydrogen oxide I could claim all water as my intellectual property and make a fortune! :clink:

It's been dry as a bone here. I'll give Arnie props for not denying human induced climate change.
