Mike is one of the congressmen I really like.

not only do we need to kick some commies out but tell the Republican RINOS we are done with them too unless they get back to their principles....we are NOT going to be Demlites....if I wanted to be a stinking Progressive I'd join their damn party..
we need to inform them the lefties and the lamestream media are no longer going to tell us how to be Republicans..

call call call NOW

It's interesting; people DID let their voice be heard on this topic. It was called the 2008 election, and there was no smoke & mirrors about healthcare.

One candidate campaigned fully on the idea of universal healthcare, and a promise to implement it. The other campaigned against that idea.

The American people elected the proponent of universal healthcare, in fairly decisive fashion. The people have spoken...

the polls show the majority is NOW against this kind of hostile takeover of our health care system..
but your parties idea is to say the HELL with them now, we will still do whatever the hell we want..well think again..go ahead and pass this monster..see the results..

Polls don't show that.

Elections have consequences, memes...

If the repubicans want back in office, they need to put a fiscal conservative up for election.

Polls can show anything they want them to show.

The main reason people are against this is the enormous cost. That and some other financial decisions made by the Obama administration can strangle him.

A fiscal conservative can get elected. A social conservative can't campaign without sounding like a hate monger.

we are not RULED by a dictator Oncy..what about that don't you all get..
you pass this bill against the peoples wishes...well..

Like I said, most people elected Obama, on a platform of universal healthcare.

Last polll out showed 57% supporting the public option.

But what you absolutely will not admit is that a majority of Americans still want helathcare reform passed.

You keep talking about "the people's wishes".

The people want the public option.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 42% now favor the health care plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats. That’s down from 45% a week ago but unchanged from two weeks ago.

Fifty-four percent (54%) now oppose the legislative effort, up three points since last week.

Seventy-three percent (73%) of liberals support the plan, but just 18% of conservatives agree.

Only 23% of all voters Strongly Support the plan while nearly twice as man (44%) are Strongly Opposed.

As has been the case for months, Democrats favor the plan while Republicans and voters not affiliated with either major party are opposed. The latest numbers show support from 69% of those in the president’s party. The plan is opposed by 80% of Republicans and a plurality (48%) of unaffiliated voters.
