a person or thing that comes to someone's aid.
a person or company making an acceptable counteroffer for a company facing a hostile takeover bid.

you hear this all the time in the news. white knight to save the GOP etc etc.

Is it a word of privilege? Why must the savior be white? Can a black knight or a brown knight not be a savior too?

We need to ban the term white knight for the racist term it is. :mad:

Dark horse not black horse is the metaphor Ma'am.
Dark in this context means unknown or unseen as in the "dark ages" or the " dark side of the moon". It has nothing to do with the hue or shade of the animal.
There is lots of covert racism in your own postings without the need to look for it where it does not exist.

why must the period of unenlightnmened be named after those with dark skin!

Im not sure you know the definition of a patriot then. Because 1 has very, very little bearing on the other and history has shown us that they often exist together, as well as with other fun things like Nationalism.
