Looks like Obama has already bounced back in the polls

LOL! I think the biggest problem is to keep McCain from self-destructing, particularly anymore with the base.
He just has to convince the base that he is actually conservative. That won't be too hard.

I'd vote for him if he promised to only go to war with a declaration and promised to support a Balanced Budget Amendment.

Well I don't hold out much hope for a balanced budget anytime soon with the dollar tanking. I'm 100% with you on the necessity of a declaration of war, something Congress should have been screeching about long ago. Cowards.

Bush did not do many of the things he promised and John "W" McSame is not likely to be any differnt since he sold his soul to the Neo Cons to be the Nominee.

HaHa, I was reading an article in the paper this morning about Bay Area College Republicans and those who support McCain and those who don't.

From the article, "The Arizona senator has long been chided by party operatives and pundits for his stances on the Bush tax cuts, campaign-finance reform, immigration, global warming, stem cell research, interrogation methods and drilling for oil in Alaska."

But he's "John W. McSame". That will have about slim and no chance of working with Independents in this election. McCain is easily beatable but you need a better strategy than that sorry slogan.

All that slogan does is impart a basic truth about John "W" McSame and that is he will continue the Bush policies.

Americans dont like the policies and their results.

Meh. I think McCain just has to keep pointing out that compared to either of the Democrat alternatives, he is the uber-conservative. McCain is too liberal on some issues for my taste, and he wasn't in my top three choices for POTUS. But again, compared to either of the socialists still in the running for the Democrats, McCain looks positively conservative.

I'm not happy that McCain is the most conservative candidate available in the upcoming election, but since he is, he'll be getting my vote.

Nice to see. I expect a lot of volatility in the next few weeks, but the "free fall" wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, and it does appear that things have stabilized.

More Supers have to put pressure on Hillary to drop out. She can't win, and she's just hurting the eventual nominee by staying in. They have to start campaigning for the general.

He never will do it. He's an internationalist fascist. Though the neocons think they've hijacked the party, their lies are wearing thing. When McCain is his actual self he talks in condescending terms about his base as bad as the liberals do. People ACTUALLY CARE about the immigration issue. The fascists have failed in convincing people that the only measure of economic success is the gdp, or that what's good for companies is automatically good for the people.

Do you really put any stock in a poll conducted in March for a November election?

I'll put stock in it; I love it.

With the Dem candidates ripping themselves to shreds, Hillary doing everything she can to cast doubt on Obama & Obama having his absolute worst week ever, in which Americans are likening him to some combo of Farakhan & Malcom X - McCain can only muster an 8 pt. lead?

If I was the GOP, I'd be worried.

I am sure they are. I remain unworried. I hope disaffection brings out more to vote third party than before. I don't expect them to win, but I expect that they would be heard if there was enough.

The reality though, is that he was behind by about 5, so that 8 point lead is 13 points of swing. And it appears to be getting larger.

I am not worried at all. The three leading canidates are all 1000Times better than the current president.

McCain is 1000x's better, Clinton 1001x's better, Obama 1010x's better!
