Lamont says,"How can you hold a president accountable for his foreign policy when you're not there for the votes than count?"

Lamont and his campaign have researched and found sixteen Iraq war related Senate votes, including one last week, that Lieberman missed and is listed as absent, even though he was in Washington.

"These missed votes go back longer than just last week, they go back to soon after the war," says Lamont.

On a telephone conference call after today's hearing, Lieberman told us, "I missed a couple of votes, last week. I regret it, most of the votes he's talking about, if I've got it correctly, were in 2003, when I was, obviously, running for President."

just goes to show once again, he's a senator voting (or not voting) in Conn.'s best interests.
