Making a Murderer

Watched some. Had they made it a one part bit just presenting the facts (which stank to high heaven) then I might have cared. As it is the defendant is a damn criminal and belongs incarcerated. I feel badly for the developmentally challenged kid. He got screwed.
 
I agree Brendan got screwed. He was a 16-year old and got a life sentence, that's inhumane. But Avery was challenged also. It was mentioned in the first program that he had an IQ of 70.

I don't have Netflix. What was the 16 year old convicted of to get a life sentence?
