I don't think Google is dropping Vista 2012 through ads. And I scanned the site contents and the site isn't dropping it either. Do you have toolbars on your browser? Many of them pretend to offer good things but keep serving you trojans...

It's happened 3 times. Since I stopped visiting, hasn't happened again. This site was the only page opened each time. Sorry to bring the bad news. I wasn't blaming you for google ads, just wanted to fyi

That's interesting. Seriously. Vista 2012 is well known and easy to find. My scans show nothing and I've never had the issue, even back in the day when I used Vista. I'll look into the ads. Maybe Google isn't as careful as they believe. it certainly isn't on the site itself. I would have found that thing and killed it.

Okay... I believe that one of the adspammers in the blogs was serving up an ad in their blog that was doing this. I've cleaned it out and will pay more attention to the blogs from now on.

Yet another reason to use Linux. I also use the NoScript add-on for Firefox for belt and braces protection.

I'm cheap and all the computers in my budget at the time were vista. Would I like to use something else? It doesn't really matter too much to me. I have better things to worry about

If you want something that behaves like Windows 7 but is much faster, totally virus free and best of all, zero cost then try Zorin OS 5. I have four different flavours of Linux but Zorin is undoubtedly the easiest to use for newbies. You can also use Ubuntu One to back up all your valuable files automatically and for free.

The problem with this is it thinks there is XSS when there isn't due to the way that urls are offered on the site.
