Saw her speak tonight and met her briefly. A smart and obviously very successful business woman right now it looks like she is probably the leading Republican candidate to run for California's Governorship in 2010, probably against Jerry Brown.

Sounds like she's done her homework on a lot of issues but she doesn't have a whole lot of charisma. Being a woman will help her in California. Way, way to early to tell if she has a chance but she does have her personal money she can call on if she so choses.

CA needs a fiscal AND social consevative to attack the imbalances that enviro policies have wrought on their economy...good luck.

you know that? she certainly didn't speak about it last night.

Saw a quote about her being against legalization, last thing we need is Cali going backwards.
You guys lead the country in progress on social, cool, and fashion.

With all due respect to the pot smokers California's problems go far far deeper than just grass.

Agreed!

She should run on a campaign of oil drilling off our central and north coasts, dismantling our water and air quality laws, and closing state parks and wildlife refuges.

Closing State Parks is unnecessary; they can be massively defunded without closing them. During the winter mos. self pay registration works. Use it during the on season as well. Stop funding all the extras such as interpretive and improvement programs until after the economy comes back. The overzealous enviro policies are colossal imbalances that are over reaching and ridiculously destructive; the central valley farming industry being the net result of such policies. Oil drilling would certainly employ several thousand people.
